About Us

This branch of the Soller Family stems from central Indiana. The hometown is Shelbyville located about 30 miles southeast of Indianapolis along Interstate I-74 in the direction of Cincinnati, Ohio. Quite a number of relatives were originally located in Zanesville, Ohio. Our genealogy records now contain over 3,996 persons all connected by birth, marriage or adoption. Two branches are traced back as far as 1746 and 1790 in the Grampian of Scotland and Hochfelden, Bas-Rhin, Alsace France, respectively. The latter region is presently French was alternately occupied by France and Germany. In German times the region was known as Elsass-Lothringen but known in French times as Alsace-Lorraine. The Grampian region of Scotland is in the northeastern portion of the country from the River Forth to Inverness. The Spey River bisects the territory and runs throught Grantown, thought to be the original homeland of the Grants.
